Dallas, Getting started
Dallas General Liability: Our agency understands business and life goes on well with or without our agency. For some coverage is not a necessity moreover a pain in the (you know). For others I here well I don’t want to cover the world just my part. People say I want to protect my assets. And the adventure begins, with 12 years of experience in commercial insurance “I” – have not seen it all yet I have seen my share. Everyone wants to have protection and most everyone starts with the most common type of coverage. This is going to fall into the category of your – Dallas general liability. We are going to be talking about your different kinds of coverage’s and dig into the aspects of what is not covered as well as what is covered.
Different kinds of protection
Now, this is not for the faint of heart, business is a full contact sport. You do not have to believe me or any blog but let me assure you when you receive a letter from an attorney saying that your company is responsible for (right down the executed exposure here) then you will want to talk to an adjuster. Someone that has been in the middle of these messes before and can give help and assistance in this situation. Now, the allure of general liability is quite dull on an overcast day. Most likely the reason is it’s not common to have a claim under your general liability. And for some reason that gives people in general a false sense of security.
Here is an example
An example is really pretty simple math. Let’s say that someone was working on Mrs. Jones house, and a claim occurred caused by the dishwasher and your job was a painter to do interior paint and you never even looked at or touched the dishwasher. The homeowners insurance probably doesn’t care, there is a possibility that you could be named in a lawsuit! There is a possibility that you will not be named the question remains here: can you afford to not have coverage? I was talking to a friend of mine the other day and he was explaining that he had been driving for 50 years and would not drive without auto insurance. Interesting, because this man is not had an accident in over 30 years. Yet for some reason he finds it important to have coverage and he drives a whopping 5000 miles a year. Yet some contractors choose to not have general liability even a small policy of $100,000 in coverage (that will be the occurrence limit)
The need
throughout the rest of used year – (yes, I know it’s a holidays) we will be working on explaining the coverage’s:
- General liability.
- workers compensation.
- Commercial auto.
- Key man life insurance.
- Limits for each.
There is no easy way out on these coverage’s and there is no way that some people can make a living and by all of them. (That is what I’m told – I’m just repeating some of the language that is given to my ear on the phone)
