Coverage
Now, to start with we cannot tell you exactly what an adjuster is going to do before there is even a claim, this make-believe scenario could happen or could never happen. Yet, the feasibility of someone having a claim here in the good old USA is probably a good bet. When you have a subcontractor working for you there are a few things you may want to consider. Let’s say that you aren’t exterior painter and you have hired someone in the capacity of a subcontractor to do….
Well, the list above is to show only your possible options, you may never hire someone to do pool cleaning yet you may hire someone to do roofing or roof repair. Again, this is nothing more than just an example. There is a lot to go over here remember this is a five-part series so will start with this, codes is the code on your general liability policy that you have hired for your subcontractor? Now, before we get into the part about this person is on their own, and carries their own liability burden let’s stick with the part about the code.
Code
Codes are normally directly coordinated with the type of work that a person is doing for you as a subcontractor, yet you may have a code such as a remodeling code which covers many different things in other words has several codes under this heading. Now, we have no idea what type of policy you have but here’s the point. If you are having someone do work for your company under a code that is either not on your policy or excluded you may run into a situation that is unfriendly. In other words before someone doesn’t work for you you probably want to be sure that code is on your general liability policy. This is where we normally write the sentence – you need to make a call to your agent and ask about codes on your Dallas Contractor Insurance, Dallas General liability.
There will be more all week
We will be talking about subcontractors and your policy all week long. There will be a lot to go over and we will do all that we can to maybe point you in the right direction. That direction will may be a question to ask your current agent.
