It’s Dallas, it’s Thursday and we will try and help
Dallas contractors insurance, Dallas general liability – 972-217-8907; I cannot tell you that it is true that if you enjoy what you do for a living then you never work a day in your life, yet what I get to do all day is certainly a passion and I enjoy working with people especially our small contractors in Texas. Yet, I am still guilty of telling people I am on my way to work. For me it is a privilege to come here every day and type something for the contractors here in North Texas, with that said I do want to say thank you for dropping by our very small website today that works with contractors on their Dallas contractors insurance, Dallas general liability.
What is covered
A question that comes to an agent that works with contractors on a regular basis is what is covered on their general liability policy. Now, before I attempt any type of answer please remember then I have not read your policy and your policy may determine what is and what is not covered, meaning you may have policy language that is different than that of a another contractor. Also, there are going to be possible variables that make up a claim of which I know nothing about. Also, remember that you do have limits, meaning your $1 million occurrence is most likely not going to pay anything over that amount. Also, you may want to ask your agent if you are working with….
- Wood
- Glass
- Concrete
- Trees
- Widows
If you are working with say a glass table top and drop said tabletop, you may find that this may be called “bailee” coverage – in other words you have care, custody and control of the glass tabletop and this may not be covered by your insurance policy. Again, this is where you need to work with your agent in my opinion because policies may not all be the same. Yet, you may want to ask what happens if you are working on a window and break the window and then you may want to ask what happens windowpane that you drop falls onto a automobile, what happens then? Now, you may be asking yourself a question – you may be saying to yourself if the person who wrote this is an agent licensed by the state of Texas then, why are the answers not more direct.
Good Question
Well, there are different companies and the general liability policies may have different policy language, your agent may even tell you a different scenario different than the one I am displaying here, yet for our blog we have found it more efficient to phrase things as a question as opposed to making statements. One example of that action would be this – Also you might ask what is a standard admitted carrier and is it true that there is a mandate on such policies that does not allow some exclusions. You may want to ask your agent if your subcontractor that you hired is covered on your Dallas contractors general liability, Dallas contractors insurance.
