It’s Monday: Yea you knew that
Dallas Contractors Insurance General Liability: well the week is over, I do hope you had a fabulous resurrection weekend and all is well with you and your family. I certainly do not suggest that I know more than the next guy, yet Mondays are a little rougher for us independent small company owners because sometimes the weekends are… The weekends that started on Sunday morning and ended a few hours later. Today let’s go over a well-worn subject, yet I really don’t think anyone’s going to look back three weeks ago and read one of the older Post; meaning yes this is old but today we make it new. Dallas contractors insurance general liability and your website.
To Start with:
To start with its a little misleading how fast things go at first in the quoting process: this speed and ultimately the resistance to slow cumulatively result in fast. There’s not a lot of questions to start with because you’re just getting your quote information. Stereo typically speaking it goes something like:
- Losses
- Experience
- Type of exposure
- Labor Cost
- Location
Now, aforementioned is miles away from exhaustive yet, generally speaking this will get you started with your general liability quote. We are as a group pretty fast when it comes to the quoting part, the existing problem has a consistency and that is the same quote we may not be able to bind.
Enter the web site
The reality here is this: regardless of what you say…. I believe you, Yet your “website” – is going to take precedence meaning your website is going to be parked in cyberspace yet, your website is going to trump whatever we say. And other words the reality is your website according to underwriters.
Can be worse
Your website: yes we probably want to mention this again, some companies underwriting literally moves faster than others. There is an old saying that goes something like this – everything being equal… – Yet rarely does that apply in any type of application that I’ve ever come across. Understand that we the people (think insurance agent) don’t make the rules but we certainly must adhere to them because I promise you in general they are dictated to us. Getting back to the part where “can be worse” – let’s say that your company (enter the name of your company here) has a policy in six months later it is discovered that you have a website.

Now, here we go….. Although I have heard my share of “I DO NOT EVEN DO THAT” although it’s on my website… Please remember what is on your website is going to take relevance over opinion or what we say. It does not matter that you don’t (let’s say you don’t pour concrete anymore) – do that particular exposure anymore questions say that we will have to deal with your website and the underwriter if a website discriminates against what you currently do in your day to day business operations as concerns your Dallas contractors insurance general liability.
Disclaimer
Have a blessed week Dallas, I hope all goes well. Before you ask…..here let me answer a question; a question many times this ask of me if you are a licensed insurance agent why do you need a disclaimer or to speak in generic terms as opposed to somewhat absolutes. It would seem to be a legitimate question, the answer is very simple. I have not read every policy in the state of Texas and quite honestly I don’t want to. The policy language inside of different policies are going to be different. There are going to be some out there in insurance land that say… Well a standard admitted policy/carrier will have to follow a particular type of form and will not be allowed to have some exclusions that could be inherent to some nonstandard companies. Now that is just great – just great… What was said here was nothing. And that’s the point altogether. There is no way for me or anyone for that matter to know everything about every policy. So therefore I’m going to tell you that I wrote this and this is my personal opinion and everything on this website is to be used for informational and entertainment purposes only. I think it would be extremely prudent to always check with your licensed agent of the state of Texas and insurance before making any decision concerning your coverage. This website and myself offer absolutely no warranty or guarantee whatsoever and never will. There are no links on here to take you to a different website that sells you anything that is not a website of ours. If you want more information on our disclaimer click here.
