Dallas contractors insurance general liability, 972-217-8907 we are here on the web yet, today being Sunday (Just before church) we are not in the office. Now, here we go with a little information on your coverage here in north Texas. Our new office in the BIG city of Benbrook Texas that has been open all of Ten weeks well it’s seen a good share of bad weather, as in flooding yet we are still here. For the most part as it seems that general liability is a part of the everyday landscape of the contractors tool belt. Dallas contractors insurance general liability.
This might be why
For one the cities (Think Dallas) my impose upon you and your company to have a “COI” certificate of insurance on file to pull a work permit, now I am not saying this is always true you may want to check with your prospective city to find out what their protocol is concerning certs. Now, there is not way that we know what every city requires nor every county yet it just might be a good idea to know in your respective area. The city may want other things so you might ask for a sample certificate to find out the different requirements of a city you may work in…….you may need..
- A certificate of insurance
- Waiver of subrogation
- Additional Insured
- Products/Completed operations
- A certain aggregate
Now, you know we don’t know what each city is going to ask for so there is one other thing you might as of the city and that is what does the Insurance company need to be rated by A.M. Best for the city to except your certificate for your Dallas contractors insurance general liability.
Now just thinking here
I just don’t know but here is a question that no one has ever asked me over the past eleven years. Now, what happens if a subcontractor has no insurance (general liability) can a inspector shut the job down. I don’t know yet that brings us to a another part of the equation. Subcontractors. A painter put a latter against the house and this ladder falls on a new high end auto. The damages are $ 10,000 (ten thousand)
You knew it could get worse so here “IT” is…
The home owner’s property insurance pay’s the claim and all seems well, yet there might be this thing called transfer of rights. That may mean that the right to recoup said ten grand and that might end up being a demand letter in your mail box. See tomorrow’s blog on demand letter.
